Genioplasty improves the shape of an unattractive chin and makes a person’s face and profile more proportional.

Through this intervention, two types of imperfections can be corrected: a receding chin, which is set too far back, and a protruding chin, which is too far forward. Different techniques exist to modify the shape of the chin, whether to make it bigger or smaller, including the use of implants and liposuction. During your meeting with Dr. Bergeron, he will recommend a solution that suits your needs, taking into consideration the shape of your face and the position of your teeth.

INTERVENTION

Depending on the surgical technique used, chin surgery is performed under local or general anaesthesia and takes about 60 minutes. The incision is made inside the mouth, in the lower lip area, and is therefore not visible.
