An accident is a traumatizing event, and even more so when it causes major physical injuries.
Dr. Léonard Bergeron has a subspeciality in the treatment of complex facial fractures. He works at Montreal’s Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur (CIUSS du Nord-de-l’Île), a university hospital that is also a level-1 trauma centre.
He treats patients with complex facial fractures, as well as patients with multiple traumatic injuries. He uses virtual planning, advanced medical imaging, surgical navigation (“GPS” for the face) and 3D printing systems to treat people who have just had a fracture or who need reconstruction following an accident.
- If you have a facial fracture, go to the emergency room closest to your location.
- If you were operated less than a year ago by another surgeon, contact him to get a reference.
- If you were operated more than a year ago, contact Dr. Bergeron’s office to schedule an appointment at the Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur.
